VIVIENDA SOCIAL EN CARABANCHEL, MADRID
Las 31 viviendas que exige el concurso se organizan en un único volumen que se separa de los linderos, con el fin de conseguir un mayor esponjamientos urbanístico. La planta baja se concibe como espacio aporticado exterior con una única vivienda adaptada y un espacio comunitario para celebrar reuniones.
El volumen reduce su escala progresivamente hacia el sur, creando terrazas comunitarias en la azoteas. Las viviendas van facetando sus fachadas en busca de luz y mejores visuales hacia el barrio. Esto contribuye a frag-mentar el volumen y reducir la monotonía típica de las fachadas en los ensanches.
The 31 houses required by the competition brief are organized in a single volume that is separated from the plot boundaries, in order to achieve greater urban sponging. The ground floor is conceived as an exterior porticoed space with one adapted dwelling and a community space for holding meetings.
The volume scales down progressively to the south, creating communal rooftop terraces. The building facets its facades in search of light and better visuals towards the neighborhood. This contributes to fragmenting the volume and reducing the typical monotony of the façades in the urban periphery.
